Cat Café

What is a cat café?

The cat café concept originated in Japan.

People in Japan often live in high-rise apartment blocks where pets aren't permitted. That's why someone came up with the unique idea to open a café filled with free-roaming cats, for those who couldn't have their own at home. By allowing visitors to "rent" time with a cat, cat cafés give everyone the chance to enjoy kitty cuddles and playtime.

The idea inspired us, but all we found were commercial approaches to cat cafés. A huge number of cats sit in shelters every year waiting for new homes to go to. By giving a few of them a place in our café, we are more likely to find them a new, happy home.
